Turnlock has developed a new part to be able to do just that.
By adding an aluminium grommet between the belleville washers and the cross pin,
The shear strength is higher than with a regular stud:
In order to use this part though, you need at least a minimum of 5mm panel thickness.
This is necessary for the grommet to fall in the panel.
